The Reality Pitch: Common fails with Louis Songster

In “Creating Your Pitch” with Module Director Louis Songster (Social Rocket Factory), GLI Fellows practice a range of communication tools, including the “Reality Pitch.”

What is a Reality Pitch? It is a pitch stripped bare of superfluous facts and details — focused on essential takeaways. Limited to 3-minutes in length, a Reality Pitch contains three core elements:

1. Problem Snapshot: The first minute describes what is “broken,” who it is broken for, and how many people are affected.

2. Problem Focus: The second minute highlights the most compelling consequence of the problem. How costly, frequent, urgent, and enduring is this consequence?

3. Unique Insight: The last minute of the Reality Pitch shares a unique insight that you — the entrepreneur — has into the problem. What is it that nobody else sees or fully understands?

When successfully executed, this sequence can build a compelling vision in just three minutes.

Special Exemption for Career Artists

The Global Arts MBA recognizes that across the sector, many of the highest-level career creatives (music prodigies, professional dancers, and others) have pursued their craft from a young age and therefore may not possess a conventional academic background.

The Admissions Committee acknowledges these exceptional career experiences where relevant as serving in place of the bachelor’s degree otherwise required for admission to The Global Arts MBA.

Candidates with this profile should slect "Other" for Highest Academic Degree.
