Wanayran Alvarez Angere is a cultural agent, entrepreneur, and activist. The projects she leads on the ground span the globe from Thailand to Kenya to Honduras and include a range of founded social enterprises including Cultural Stopovers, Mujeres en las Artes, and Ponchos Wanayran.

Natalia Jimenez (MA) founded Al ComPAZ, a socially motivated music education program in Colombia. She holds a Master’s in Performing Arts Administration from New York University and is an Acumen Fellowship for Social Changemakers graduate.

Juliana Kay is the Founding Director of the innovative chamber choir Choral Edge, assistant conductor of Exaudi Youth Choir, and she teaches classroom and extra-curricular music at Canterbury Girls’ Secondary College in Melbourne, Australia.

Jessica Phillips is an American clarinetist with the MET Orchestra and serves as Clarinet Studio Head at the OAcademy Music Conservatory and as graduate faculty at The Juilliard School. She is a Co-Faculty Lead for the Concert Artist Guild’s Community Impact Incubator, and serves on the board of the League of American Orchestras, while also consulting on organizational transformation and entrepreneurial leadership.

Special Exemption for Career Artists

The Global Arts MBA recognizes that across the sector, many of the highest-level career creatives (music prodigies, professional dancers, and others) have pursued their craft from a young age and therefore may not possess a conventional academic background.

The Admissions Committee acknowledges these exceptional career experiences where relevant as serving in place of the bachelor’s degree otherwise required for admission to The Global Arts MBA.
